Our Dams are healthy with strong credentials and pedigrees along with strong, natural pointing instinct. We don't settle on mediocre females for our breeding program. We put every potential breeding female through extensive DNA testing which includes 10 of the most common diseases in Labradors. This ensures that we will produce healthy puppies that will live a long, happy life with their new families.
We also do OFA hip, elbow and eye certifications on our females to ensure structurally sound puppies are produced. We allow piece of mind to our customers by only breeding the best! We GUARANTEE it!

We run extensive health testing on all breeding dogs such as a 10 test DNA panel with the most common diseases in Labradors, OFA hip certification of GOOD or EXCELLENT, OFA elbow certification of NORMAL and OFA eye certifications of NORMAL. We are so confident in the health of our dogs, a 26 month hip, elbow and eye guarantee as well as a LIFETIME genetic disease guarantee comes standard with every Coteau View Kennels puppy! Coteau View Kennels pointing Labradors are what most people consider to be the perfect size. We are breeding for males in the 60–70-pound range and females in the 50–60-pound range. We have found in our 15 plus years of breeding and guiding, these weight ranges extend the active life of our dogs without sacrificing performance in the field. A 60-pound dog from our kennel will meet or exceed the performance of any 90-pound dog! Our dogs are light on their feet, athletic, driven and have incredible endurance. When you get that combination, it's difficult to ask for anything more!
